This Djembe stands 12 inches high and is 6 to 7 inches wide.

Made in Bali from one piece of high grade Mahogany plantation wood with goatskin heads. They are rope tuned in the traditional style of Western Africa. The sound quality is excellent. They are among the best.

These djembes are the only ones we know of that are made in Indonesia from sustainably harvested wood.

A djembe or jembe is a rope-tuned skin-covered goblet drum played with bare hands, originally from West Africa. Djembe translates to "everyone gather together in peace" and defines the drum's purpose.
